Thank you for choosing Ajax Cart Pro. This documentation will guide you step-by-step through enabling the app, configuring cart animations, customizing the loading indicator, and activating the dropdown cart — so your customers enjoy a fast, frictionless shopping experience on your Shopify store.
Enable the App
After installing Ajax Cart Pro, you need to turn the app on before any features take effect on your storefront.
Follow these steps to activate the app:
- Open the Ajax Cart Pro app from your Shopify admin.
- Go to the Settings section in the left sidebar.
- Turn the Enable App toggle to ON.
- Click Save Config to apply.
Show Progress Animation
Ajax Cart Pro supports two types of add-to-cart feedback animations. You can choose which style best fits your store theme.
Fly Effect to Cart Block
When this option is selected, a product image will animate and fly toward the cart icon whenever a customer clicks Add to Cart. This gives a clear visual confirmation that the item has been added.

Loading Image
When this option is selected, an AJAX loading spinner (or custom image) will appear on the cart icon while the product is being added. This is a more subtle animation suitable for minimal store designs.

Upload an AJAX Loading Image
If you have selected the Loading Image animation mode, you can replace the default loading spinner with any custom image (e.g., your brand icon or a themed GIF).
To upload a custom loading image:
- Go to Settings in the Ajax Cart Pro admin.
- Find the AJAX Loading Image option.
- Click Upload and select your image file.
- Click Save Config to apply.
After saving, your custom loading image will appear on the storefront cart icon:
Display the Drop-Down Cart
The dropdown cart allows customers to instantly preview their cart contents in a floating panel after adding a product — without navigating away from the current page.
Enable the Dropdown Cart
Set the Show Drop Down Cart option to Yes to activate the feature.
When enabled, the dropdown cart panel will appear automatically after a product is added:
